"Print business is going down and we have to live with it," he says. "We have to be realistic; if we are not going to do it, others will.
Margins for print and production have been squeezed in recent years, not least because of oversupply and the soaring cost of raw materials. At the same time, the downturn has accelerated the move to alternative marketing strategies, including emails, digital channels and social media.
Mr Snelson says this demonstrates that 'print still has Nike Air Max 1 Jacquard Sneakers potency' but is increasingly being used in a targeted fashion.
Mr Snelson has embraced the changes and has seen fee based software technology revenues climb from three per cent of group turnover two years ago to 15 20 per cent.

This involves selling software technology to help customers design their own marketing products and campaigns, in return for a licence fee.
For its most recent full year, APS achieved revenues of 60m and pre tax profits of about 2.85m, up from 750,000.
APS made its first foray into Europe in 2010 with the acquisition of Relate4U, which is a marketing, design and print management business based in Eindhoven with an office in Portland, Oregon.
The business was passed on from Harry Chetham to Snelson's father Malcolm, its current chairman.
Harry Chetham established Allied Publicity Services in Rusholme, Manchester, as a mailing business, stuffing envelopes and typing the addresses onto them. Today it is based in Bird Hall Lane, Cheadle Heath, and we meet in the boardroom of its headquarters, Chetham House, a building named after the company's founder.

Mr Snelson junior was appointed MD in 1992 and has overseen the transformation of what was essentially a printing company into what it is today.
Mr Snelson says the shift in the market from traditional print towards digital channels means APS must move with the times.
This year, Snelson expects turnover of 75m but flat profits amid pressure on margins.
"Our strategy is to grow so that we move away from our reliance on output to become more important and strategic to our clients; a partner who understands their businesses and helps them achieve their marketing goals."
The married father of three, who lives in Congleton, has spent 26 years at APS, having joined at the age of Nike Air Max 97 Gym Red
and expansion across Europe following the acquisition of Dutch company Relate4U.
The deal helped drive group revenues from 36m in the 12 months to the end of January 2010 to 52m the following year.
APS now provides print, design and other marketing services to businesses in the UK and beyond. In December it was named best emerging company of the year by the CBI North West for its progress in developing its products and services.
